The role of the counsellor is to facilitate the person’s resolution of these issues, whilst respecting their values, personal resources, culture and capacity for choice. Counselling can provide people with a regular time and space to talk about their problems and explore difficult feelings in a confidential and dependable environment.
LEARN ADVANCED COUNSELLING SKILLS
Micro-skills are the tools of the trade for counsellors. They are the techniques which counsellors use to help clients find solutions for dealing with their problems. Nevertheless, just understanding micro-skills is not necessarily enough. In this fascinating course students are encouraged to hone their micro-skills and apply their understanding to a range of real-life problems which any counsellor may have to deal with.

In this course, you can learn at your own pace, without any fixed due dates or deadlines. You study whenever you have the time and feel motivated to do so. The course typically takes around 300 hours to complete from beginning to end, and most students graduate within 12 months.
